o   Quiz Bowl (Lincoln Alexander)
§  Quiz bowl April 3, 5:30-7:30 pm at Student center
§  Requesting $1000
§  Vote for approval of $1000 passed with no votes against approval
·      Ski Trip Planning (Kenneth Gilbert, 5 minutes)
o   Council is in favor of scheduling for the three day weekend (MLK day next year)
o   Online lift ticket purchase worked well
·      Volunteer Awards Ceremony (Kassi Kronfeld, 5 minutes)
o   Event will hopefully be catered for dinner
o   Wine and possibly beer will be included
o   Nominations are still being accepted until Feb. 18
o   Email Monica with questions about nominations
o   Have people send in pictures to Kassi or Monica
o   Event will be semi-formal
o   Gym will be closed at 1:00 pm Thursday the 6th and will stay closed throughout Friday due to the Dental School Ball
·      Student Portal Presentation (Matt Van Sickle, 15 minutes)
o   Personalized to each student and knows which school each member is associated with
o   Designed for mobile devices
o   Send feedback if you want to make improvements or see things you don’t like because it can be mended
o   Student groups will soon have their own pages

§  Sarah thanks everyone for their participation in the JBT annual survey, there were over 500 participants
o   Student Health Advisory Committee (Lilly Winfree)
§  Going to start talking about changes to next insurance cycle
o   Student Newsletter Committee (David Edwards)
§  Winter edition of the Pulse has been sent
o   Student Center Planning Committee (Karen Seresun)
§  Mug of Joe for April, date TBD
o   Intramurals/Student Center Events (Heather Ennis)
§  15 teams registered, still room available
§  Mon. the 17th-Wednesday the 19th Student center gym will be closed, no intramurals that week
§  March 10th is Spring Intramural registration
o   March Wellness (Erich Knipschild)
§  Holiday hours will be 5 am to 10 pm Monday the 17th, no classes
o   Library (Laura Ziegen)
§  Email exam schedules in order for the Library to plan for construction noise to be at a minimum prior to exam dates if possible
§  Going to do what they can in the future, but it will be difficult to remove all noise

§  Student health advisory committee is looking into cover Oregon and OHP for coverage

§  Newsletter was finished and will be posted to the website soon and will be sent out

§  Hoping to receive money to upgrade the 24 hr study area so the study rooms receive new tables, chairs and white boards and will hopefully be completed at the end of January
o   OHSU Communications (Matt Vansicale)
o   Research Week (Nate)
§  Potential to make a 4 person team and compete to win research week
§  Anyone can participate and will culminate in research jeopardy
§  Looking to get up to 10 volunteers
