RecycleMania Announcement!

From January to March 2010, OHSU will participate in the national campus RecycleMania competition! RecycleMania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities. Over a 10-week period, schools report recycling and trash data which are then ranked according to who collects the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita, or have the highest recycling rate. With each week’s reports and rankings, participating schools watch how their results fluctuate against other schools and use this to rally their campus communities to reduce and recycle more.

Watch for exciting upcoming opportunities for involvement in RecycleMania! Please join us in decreasing waste generated on-campus by reducing, reusing and recycling. Together, we can create a more sustainable campus community at OHSU!

Gallery

Hey Guys

I think we should start making our OHSU album a bit more than 1 photo collection. So I am asking the students of OHSU to lend me their art or even photos from parties and school events. It would be great to add more to our collection

Thank and Happy Holidays.

ONE Campus Challenge

ONE Campus Challenge

I ran across this last week, and thought maybe some people here at OHSU, particularly those involved with any of the global health projects, might be interested in organizing a group that could participate in this challenge. As we all know, global health and poverty are inextricably linked, and so involvement in a "competition" like this seems natural for a health sciences university. Although this is clearly aimed more towards undergraduates than professional students, I think we could participate in a meaningful way.
