Dear classmates and colleagues,
If you participated in the Hills for Humanity run last year, we raised over $1500 for the Cascadia Garlington Behavioral Health Clinic, which serves 500 people with addiction and mental health issues.
This year, we are back on Saturday, April 17th with a new route through Marquam Nature Park that spends almost the entire time on the trails and will be much more clearly marked than last year's.
We are dedicating the Sixth Annual Hills for Humanity Trail Run & Hike to the late Dr. William "Bill" Connor, who was instrumental in expanding the trails on which we'll be running and hiking in order to connect OHSU to the larger Marquam Nature Park/Council Crest/Forest Park system of woodlands. We will donate all proceeds to the Wallace Medical Concern and the Southwest Community Health Clinic, two resources for local low-income uninsured patients. Dr. Connor volunteered tirelessly at the former clinic, and OHSU medical students continue to help patients at both clinics to this day.

Just like last year, we will have awards for the winners and a prize drawing after the race. We'll also have free massages, coffee, and snacks on site, not to mention a great t-shirt and lots of appreciation for your help.
